"Sirali" came into being in the year2002 with the coming together of Gunjan Arora and Rahul Jain. Gunjan Arora, a NIFT Delhi alumnus, discovered his style in the traditional crafts of India. Acquainted with the rich Indian textiles, techniques and motifs through intensive research, he took them to the international platform bringing in global recognition to the crafts. Rahul Jain, who initially built his career in the field of management, felt his creative side wanting a creative expression through various art forms like cinema, classical dance and design. Together they received accolades for their novel fusion of the ancient East and a modern West. The Duo's recent foray in textile art has added a new dimension to their ever evolving image.

Surily Goel studied Fashion Designing at FIDM, (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising), Los Angeles. In December 2003 she started her own line of garments titled 'SURILY'Surily styled Preity Zinta's look for the Yashraj Films 'Salam Namaste' She has also styled the leading protagonists for 'Janeman' directed by Shirish Kunder produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and more recently for Rani Mukherji in 'Ta Ra Rum Pum'. Surily was also invited to show her collection at the India Film Festival held in Australia in October 2006. In her words, "While innovation is what I aspire for as a designer, easy wearablity is the most dominant factor in the construction of my clothes. I strongly believe that a garment should not only make you look good but it should also make you feel good inside, thus uplifting one's mood and frame of mind. If I had to define my design philosophy with three adjectives they would be clarity, wearablity and most of all versatility."
